SHINE Ministry
At SHINE, we believe every child and family deserves to feel seen, valued, and fully welcomed. Our heart is to create a safe, supportive environment where children of all abilities can learn about Jesus, build friendships, and grow in their faith while feeling loved exactly as they are.
We know visiting a new church can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for families navigating sensory needs, communication differences, anxiety, behavioral challenges, learning disabilities, or other special needs. Our goal is to partner with families and help make that experience smoother, calmer, and more comfortable from the very beginning.
SHINE offers individualized support based on each child’s unique needs and strengths. Supports may include:
• sensory-friendly accommodations
• visual supports and schedules
• classroom buddies/helpers
• flexible classroom options
• quieter spaces when needed
• parent communication before visiting
• individualized strategies to help children feel successful and safe
We want every child to have the opportunity to participate, connect, and experience the love of Christ in a way that works best for them.

Before Your First Visit
We would love to connect with your family before your first visit so we can learn more about your child and how we can best support them.
Whether your child has a formal diagnosis, sensory sensitivities, behavioral challenges, communication differences,
or simply needs extra support in new environments, you are welcome here.
To help make your visit easier, we can:
• answer questions ahead of time
• walk you through what to expect
• provide pictures/videos of spaces if available
• discuss accommodations and supports
• help create a plan that makes your child feel comfortable
