Revelation: Eternal King, Everlasting Kingdom with Video Access by Jen Wilkin
Perhaps no other book of the Bible feels as inaccessible and as intimidating to us as the very last one. The book of Revelation overflows with images and ideas that confound our modern ears. But if all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable, we should assume Revelation is as accessible and helpful as any other book of the Bible.
Why don’t we see it that way?
Two thousand years ago, John’s Revelation was circulated and read aloud among seven churches in Asia Minor. Those who heard the letter understood it and drew encouragement from its message. The same can be true for you today. Over 10 sessions of verse-by-verse Bible study, Jen Wilkin helps you discover how the last book of the Bible—the culmination of God's great story—speaks both a steadying word of assurance and a strong call to endure to the church in every age.

in 5 weeks in the spring).

Tuesdays at 6:30pm starting September 17th in a private home in Mint Hill
Mondays at 6:30pm starting September 23rd in the CBC Main Building

Anxious: Fighting Anxiety with the Word of God with Video Access
by Scarlett Hiltibidal
We live in a broken, sad, scary place. We don’t need to watch the natural disasters and political unrest in the news to know what our bodies already know. Our bodies get sick. Our minds are fragile. The mortality rate for humans is astonishingly high. There’s plenty to worry about, and the world is full of faulty solutions for our anxieties.
But true peace comes when we learn to hold God’s Word up to what worries us. There, we learn we can’t fix ourselves; we can’t protect ourselves. Instead, the Bible tells us we can rest, knowing that Jesus walked into the broken, sad, scary places to rescue us and love us. He is the One who fixes. His is the only protection that matters.
Join Scarlet Hiltibidal in this 8-session study to learn how we can practically take hold of the perfect peace that is only available through God as we dive deeply into His Word, embrace the practice of prayer, and live authentically in the support of our communities of faith.

Rest and Release by Courtney Joseph
Are you tired and burdened? This Bible Study will lead you to resting and releasing your heavy burdens to the Lord. This Bible Study includes a daily devotional written by Courtney Joseph, as she shares some of her personal struggles. She provides a daily Bible Reading plan, SOAK pages, a Daily Reflection Question and a Verse of the Day. You can find the corresponding videos out on the blog at WomenLivingWell.org
God wants you to talk with Him about your struggles, pains, and frustrations, and give Him all your cares in exchange for His peace. Because we do not rest, we miss hearing God’s voice. Psalm 23 comes to mind. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
Are you experiencing the green pastures, the quiet waters, and the restoration of your soul that Psalm 23 speaks of, from resting with your Shepherd? Remember how the crowds pressed in on Jesus everywhere He went? Everywhere He turned, there was a need unmet, and though there was so much to do . . . He withdrew to rest. Luke 5:16 says, “But he would withdraw to desolate places and pray.” If Jesus needed alone time with God, then certainly we do. Just think of the wisdom He wants to impart to you, the strength and the peace you may be missing out on. Give yourself permission not to have your to-do list all checked off in order for you to rest and get alone with God.

Breathe: Making Room for Sabbath Study Journal by Priscilla Shirer
One of the greatest challenges among women in our culture is taking time to cease from all the activities and just breathe. We are in bondage to busyness.
We constantly strive to complete the limitless to-do lists that hinder us from experiencing all that God has for us. By neglecting time for tranquility, serenity, and repose, we limit our Christlikeness and miss out on some of God's greatest gifts. In the Old Testament, Sabbath was given to the Israelites as a gift, and it is still a gift
to us today.
If you are weary, worn out, and exhausted,
then the concept of Sabbath will change your life.

What Love Is: The Letters and 1, 2, and 3 John with Video Access
by Kelly Minter
The Letters of 1, 2 & 3 John were written to encourage followers of Jesus to remain faithful to the truth. Believers are challenged to look at contrasting themes such as walking in the light instead of darkness, truth versus lies and deception, loving God more than loving the world, and the meaning of true fellowship and community rather than shallowness.
This study not only reveals the heart of John but also the heart of Jesus. A great addition to The Living Room Series, this study includes recipes and a more relational approach.

No Other Gods: The Unrivaled Pursuit of Christ with Video Access
by Kelly Minter
Often, idols are obvious—money, power, fame. But subtler idols can sometimes take the form of sweet loved ones, Instagram-able interiors, and busy seasons of ministry.
But if your heart is prioritizing any of those pursuits before God, they are taking up space meant for Him alone.
In this study, learn to identify the functional gods you are serving daily and the lies they tell. Only when you learn to dethrone modern-day idols can you pursue a deeper, more meaningful relationship with Jesus.

by Kelly Minter, Jackie Hill Perry, Jen Wilkin, Jennifer Rothschild, Jada Edwards,
and Kristi McLelland
Do you have trouble thinking of words to say to God when you pray? Are you afraid some emotions are too intense to express to God? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God, but sometimes it’s a struggle. Throughout God’s Word, we encounter many voices who teach us how to pray.

Ephesians: A Study of Faith and Practice with Video Access by Jackie Hill Perry, Jasmine Holmes, Melissa Kruger
Who am I?
The question of identity is always in the back of our minds, and it’s currently at the forefront of social conversations. But the first question we need to ask is: Who is God? Then we can begin to consider, and who am I in light of who He is? In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul describes God as a merciful and forgiving Father who unites us in Christ and empowers us to live by the Spirit. We’re adopted children and fellow citizens with the saints because of God’s loving pursuit on our behalf.
In this study, Bible teachers, authors, and friends Jackie Hill Perry, Jasmine Holmes, and Melissa Kruger walk through the book of Ephesians, examining the invaluable truths Paul’s letter holds for us today. Along the way, they’ll help us understand the riches of our inheritance as daughters of our heavenly Father, as well as what it means to walk in a manner worthy of our calling.
7 week study, Fridays at 9am starting September 20th
meeting in the CBC Fellowship Hall, $25
